Evidence-Based Treatment Approaches
There are several treatment options available that can support you in managing and recovering from the effects of trauma. Psychological therapies such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) have been shown to be particularly effective.
Speaking with your GP can be a helpful first step. They can assess your needs, provide advice about your options and next steps, and, in some cases, prescribe medication to help alleviate your symptoms.
