Gallagher Basset

Gallagher Bassett (GB) is the WorkCover insurer for Victoria Police members.

There has recently been a change to the Injury Management Consultant (IMC) process. To help address resourcing challenges in the injury management space at Victoria Police, Gallagher Bassett (GB) will be engaging Occupational Rehabilitation (OR) providers in areas where there is no IMC assigned to a claim. These providers will temporarily support members by delivering either:

  1. Original Employer Services: for members with capacity to return to work, or
  2. Recovery Support Services: for those currently without capacity, where the focus remains on recovery.

You may be contacted directly by one of the following third-party providers:

  • Procare Injury Management
  • IPAR Occupational Rehabilitation Services
  • Workable Consulting

A signed consent form by your BlueHub client will be included with any request, so you can action accordingly.

There is no change to your usual reporting requirements. Please continue to include the IMC in your emails when submitting ‘Assessment and Treatment plans’ for your BlueHub clients to Gallagher Bassett. The OR provider will have direct access to the injured member’s officer in charge (OIC) and will assume responsibility for recovery and return-to-work planning, in alignment with the claim. Please see below contacts for any queries:
