Who are we?
The Police Association Victoria (TPAV) is here to protect, support, and advance the professional, industrial, legal, and welfare interests of our members. We recognise that the incredible work you do for the community often comes with challenges — and that what you see and face each day can take a toll on your mental health.
At TPAV, we believe police members deserve the highest standard of care and support when it comes to wellbeing. That’s why we created BlueHub — to provide timely, accessible mental health support from professionals who understand the unique nature of policing.
Our Wellbeing Team provides members, and their families, with access to a range of support services and materials to ensure all aspects of their general wellbeing is supported throughout their career. They can offer advice, support and guidance specific to you and your circumstances.
Our TPAV BlueHub team, that sits within Wellbeing team, may be small, but brings a wealth of expertise in psychology, project management, and member support. With first-hand experience working at Victoria Police, we understand the complexities of the organisation and are here to provide clear guidance, practical support, and compassionate care — every step of the way.
In the 2023–24 State Budget, the Victorian Government allocated $4.0 million over four years, to support the continued development of BlueHub, enabling the program to expand its reach and become more firmly embedded as part of the mental health support system for police. This funding has helped ensure more timely access to specialised trauma services for officers who need it.

A message from Wayne Gatt
“The Police Association, with its partners The Australian Federal Police Association, Victoria Police and the AFP have joined forces to help get this initiative off the ground and to ensure that BlueHub meets the mental health needs of our collective members, an issue so common in our profession.
BlueHub is a new initiative to support the ongoing health and wellbeing of our members, who have struggled to find policing-appropriate and timely mental health support when they need it most. BlueHub aims to change that by bringing the best clinical support for police to police in a way that is easy to access.”
